What’s In Your Hands, 501c3 nonprofit organization strives to empower young girls to achieve their goals, providing resources, encouraging, embracing their unique qualities, and creating a sisterhood bond. We inspire young girls to become young women of integrity, strength, full of wisdom, successors, leaders and help shape visions of young future professionals. W.I.Y.H continues to pave the way in mentoring within our community.
Our Story
The Vision Statement: The Young girls will live in a world where they have the resources and opportunities to shape their own lives and define their communities.
Mission Statement: This program targets ages 11-18 in promoting leadership skills and providing resources that prevent and respond to barriers that plague young women.
Meet The Team
Lauren A. King, a Florida native, an HBCU grad of Bethune Cookman University, had always envisioned herself starting a mentoring program for young girls. Although she has put her dreams on hold out of fear and others opinion. She has step out on FAITH and excited about her passion of empowering young women to shatter glass ceilings.
Now residing in Atlanta, GA believes that W.I.Y.H is a mentoring program designed for all girls that would like to make a difference in the community, lead, be empowered, and be part of a sisterhood!
